Desislava Krasteva, who \u201cwalked around clad in Scervino\u201d and was appointed as an assistant to the protocol of Prime Minister Boyko Borisov\u00a0has become employee of the government administration without a job competition<\/strong>, according to a reply of the Council of Ministries (CM) to supplementary questions of Bivol.<\/p>\n

An earlier inquiry, filed by Bivol under the Access to Public Information Act (APIA), showed<\/a> that the same lady has become\u00a0State servant\u00a0on March 17, 2011, after being appointed by contract to the position Chief Specialist in Directorate \u201cGovernment Protocol\u201d in the Administration of the Council of Ministries.<\/p>\n

The person in question became known from a series of recordings in the \u201cYaneva Gate\u201d scandal. A conversation between former judges Vladimira Yaneva, Rumyana Chenalova and an unknown man focuses on women towards whom Borisov had \u201ca positive attitude\u201d that \u201cwas not just for one bang\u201d<\/strong>. Borisov\u2019s female PR is not mentioned by name by Yaneva, but she claims that the said woman was the wife of someone close to the Prime Minister, from the so-called circle \u201cThe Tomcats\u201c. A check of Bivol in the Property Registry established that this is Desislava Krasteva, wife of Ivaylo Krastev, who is the owner of the nightclub \u201cSin City\u201d.<\/p>\n

In November 2009, a few months after Borisov won the general elections and formed a government, Desislava Krasteva was appointed in the administration of the Council of Ministries, and then on March 17, 2011, she became\u00a0State servant<\/strong>\u00a0without a job competition <\/strong>\u2013 \u201creplacing an employee on leave for pregnancy and childbirth until their return,\u201d explained the press office of the Council of Ministries, citing as grounds for the appointment Art. 15 and Art. 12 para. 1 of the Civil Servants Act.<\/p>\n

Krasteva continued to work in the Administration of the Council of Ministries until July 8, 2013, when she left State employment by mutual consent. This happened during the term in office of Prime Minister Plamen Oresharski.<\/p>\n

Bivol requested additional information on the professional qualities due to which she has been selected for the job.<\/p>\n

Ms. Krasteva has a Master\u2019s Degree in Linguistic from Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski “- Department of “German Studies”. She is fluent in German and English and has a good level of knowledge of Swedish and Russian. She also completed a two-year specialization in the Higher School of Finance, Accounting and Control at the Institute for Postgraduate Studies at the University of National and World Economy – Sofia. Her career with a span of nine years, before entering the administration of the CM, is in the private sector, where she was engaged in activities similar to her functions in the “Government Protocol”, <\/em>according to the government press office.<\/p>\n

In the same recording, Vladimira Yaneva claims that Boyko Borisov bought a house in Barcelona for 1.5 million euro for another mistress for whom he had special feelings. In her media appearances Rumyana Chenalova alleged that Desislava Krasteva lived in Barcelona. Bivol consulted the Spanish Property Registry and established that no one with the name Desislava Krasteva owns properties in Spain. The search for the house worth 1.5 million euro continues.<\/p>\n
