The seller was the construction company <a href=\"https:\/\/tr.bivol.bg\/view.php?guid=121352575\">BDK<\/a> Ltd. The apartment,\nhowever, had one disadvantage &#8211; it did not have a direct view of the sea. But\nthis injustice turned out reparable. The son-in-law of the now-late Mr Tsolevski is <strong>architect Ivan Nestorov<\/strong>, the current Director\nof the Directorate for National Construction Control (DNSK), who has previously\nheld other senior State and municipal posts related to construction control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Precisely, in 2002, when his father-in-law, Tsolevski, bought\nprofitably the first apartment, architect Nestorov was already a high-ranking official\nat the DNSK. And in 2010, when the swap happened, Ivan Nestorov was already the\nHead of the Architecture and Urban Planning Directorate of Sofia Municipality\n(City Hall), appointed there in 2006 by the then-Mayor (and current third-term\nPrime Minister) Boyko Borisov. Before this, for a short time, he was an acting Chief\nArchitect of Sofia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"504\" src=\"https:\/\/bivol.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nestorov-sozopol-1024x504.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-45000\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bivol.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nestorov-sozopol-1024x504.png 1024w, https:\/\/bivol.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nestorov-sozopol-300x148.png 300w, https:\/\/bivol.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nestorov-sozopol-768x378.png 768w, https:\/\/bivol.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nestorov-sozopol-1170x576.png 1170w, https:\/\/bivol.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nestorov-sozopol-1920x946.png 1920w, https:\/\/bivol.bg\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/01\/nestorov-sozopol-585x288.png 585w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to the Property Register, the company &#8220;BDK\nInvest&#8221; had serious construction sites in Sofia at the time Nestorov was\nthe Director of &#8220;Architecture and Urban Planning&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After his career in the Sofia Municipality, Nestorov was\ntransferred to Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works, where he\nbecame Director of the Geological Protection and Urban Development Directorate.\nConsidering that most of the BDK construction sites in Sozopol are on the\nwaterfront and are often erected directly on the rocks, the investment in the\nfather-in-law\u2019s apartment looks well calculated and prescient.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After being appointed as Head of the DNSK in 2017, replacing\nMilka Gecheva, Ivan Nestorov has submitted a completely \u201cvirgin\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/register.caciaf.bg\/2018\/9BD0180A-6E40-418E-8C37-E901F07024D892906.xml\">property\ndeclaration<\/a>, as suits a conscientious civil servant who lives on wages and\ndoes now own a home or a bank account. Income from salaries \u2013 BGN 33,766 and not\na penny more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>And a cheap apartment in Sofia from another construction company<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2005, the mother-in-law of architect Nestorov, Zdravka\nTsolevska, secured another gainful property acquisition. She bought an\napartment of 92 square meters in the capital Sofia for only BGN 47,500.
