The President of the Specialized Criminal Court Georgi Ushev<\/strong> has purchased in 2017 two land plots in the affluent Sofia suburb of Bankya for EUR 12 per square meter. The properties are located in the center of Bankya and are under a low-rise construction regulation. According to information from sites for real estate sales<\/a>, it is extremely hard to find a price below EUR 50 in Bankya.<\/p>\n

Moreover, Georgi Ushev’s property declaration<\/a> is missing a small 19-square-meter residential building, which had not been entered in the Property Register as well.<\/p>\n

The Cadaster and satellite maps<\/a> show that the land plots are adjacent; one of them faces \u201cStefan Stambolov\u201d Street. There is a luxury house with a swimming pool next to it, but it is missing in the Cadastral map.<\/p>\n

A few days ago, Georgi Ushev told bTV on the subject of \u201cApartmentGate\u201d the following: “There is no way to comment on “ApartmentGate “, as I do not have the authority to conduct such probes. I do not know the details of these cases. Let’s wait for the conclusion of the probes. I cannot comment on either the funds or the apartments of my colleagues.”<\/em><\/p>\n
